ABOUT THIS FEED:
Elkhart is on Norfolk Southern Railway’s (NS's) Chicago Line, the former New York Central Railroad (NYC) main line between Chicago and New York, originally the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway (LS&MS). At the Conrail split, NS acquired the western half between Chicago and Cleveland, CSX the eastern half between Cleveland and New York. This line sees as many as 100 trains in a 24-hour period! The Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) also has track rights. Amtrak’s "Capitol Limited" (Chicago-D.C.) and "Lake Shore Limited" (Chicago-New York) also stop here twice a day per route (at the station building seen on the west camera). NS also has their largest classification yard east of the Mississippi down the road, the Robert Young Yard. Elkhart is also the location of the junction with the Elkhart & Western RR shortline, and with the Kalamazoo Branch to Grand Rapids, MI, which is leased to the Grand Elk RR.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
The diamond at Deshler, in North Central Ohio, is the intersection of two CSX main lines, both formerly of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O). The north-south single-track line (the Toledo Sub) connects Cincinnati and Detroit via Toledo, and the east-west double-track line (the Garrett Sub to the west and the Willard Sub to the east) connects Baltimore and Chicago via Pittsburgh. Approximately 50 freight trains travel through each day.
Map & history of this location - https://www.onthebellcgt.com/deshler
There are ATCS layouts available for the Willard, Garrett, and Toledo Subs, but there is no server (data) coverage. RCL is essential for ATCS data availability.
There is a radio stream available, listening to the same channels as the speaker heard in the park. AAR channels listened to are 8 (160.230, CSX road), 12 (160.290, Toledo Sub/"LA" desk dispatcher), 84 (161.370, Garrett Sub/"RM" dispatcher), and 94 (161.520, Willard Sub/"IP" dispatcher): https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/26809/web
There is no Amtrak service here. The last passenger train to stop at Deshler was in 1971.
The two-story structure seen in the NE "quadrant" of the diamond is the former interlocking control tower, and is still used by CSX maintenance-of-way as an office and storage space. The single-story structure in the NW "quadrant" is the former passenger station. Crossroads Park in the SW "quadrant" is where the freight (express) station building formerly stood before it was demolished.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
The settlement was first known as Big Sandy Switch because a stretch of the Texas and Pacific Railroad was built through the area and eventually intersected with a narrow-gauge railroad called the Tyler Tap.
There is no ATCS or radio in the area.
The former St. Louis Southwestern runs north-south, as the Pine Bluff Sub north (and then east) to Texarkana via Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant, and as the Corsicana Sub southwest to its namesake Corsicana via Tyler. The former Texas & Pacific runs east-west, as the Mineola Sub, route of Amtrak's Texas Eagle, between Dallas and Texarkana, via Mineola, Longview, Marshall, and Jefferson.
UP PINE BLUFF Subdivison is one directional. All trains go one way which Westbound. UP MINEOLA SUBDIVISION is BI Directorial both west and East and the UP Corsicana SUBDIVISION is all directional traffic unless it's the local out of MINEOLA Texas or Tyler Texas.
Big Sandy is in between the Texas Eagle station stops of Mineola and Longview, and is also a crew change point.
Info from 6 years ago indicate an average of around 20 trains per day on the Mineola Sub: 9 intermodals, 2 autorack units, and 9 manifests at that time, not including the Eagle (1 per direction per day, total of 2).

Strasburg, Pennsylvania is located 62 miles west of Philadelphia. The Strasburg Rail Road has been in existence since 1832, and it’s the country’s oldest short line railroad. It offers steam excursions featuring engines 89, 90 and 475, with periodic excursions of Thomas and Percy. Strasburg Rail Road continues to function as a short line, with railcar-to-truck transfer of grains, bulk feed additives, dry fertilizers, lumber, steel, bedding, and bio-fuel.

The other camera is located at Leaman Place in Paradise, which offers 11-12 Amtrak Keystone Service trains a day, some NS Freight, and the turn around of the Strasburg Railroad excursions.
Amtrak trains 42 & 43 " The Pennsylvanian " also pass the Paradise camera.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Laramie, Wyoming, is located on the Union Pacific (UP) Railroad's original transcontinental mainline, a.k.a., the Overland Route. Specifically, this is the Laramie Subdivision, part of the North Platte Area (Division). The Laramie Sub runs between Rawlins on the west and Cheyenne on the east, and over the famous Sherman Hill, which is a geological "gap" in the Rocky Mountains. Laramie is located on the west side of Sherman Hill, at milepost 565.4, and is the location of a yard.
The camera is located at the former UP passenger station, and the platform is in view. However, there are no longer any passenger trains through Laramie. The last such train was Amtrak's "Pioneer" which was cancelled due to budget cuts in 1997.
There is an ATCS layout, but no data (server) coverage.
There are no radio streams available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
The town of La Grange, Kentucky, in North Central Kentucky, is located on the CSX LCL Subdivision, at milepost 26.8. The LCL Sub is the former Louisville & Nashville Railroad (L&N) "Short Line", originally the Louisville, Cincinnati & Lexington Railroad.
On the (default) north camera can be seen the signal at the south end of La Grange siding, at milepost 27.0, and the siding is 8,330 feet in length (the north end of the siding is at milepost 28.8).
In regards to that signal and approaching northbound trains, if the train is lined into the siding the signal with have a red-over-lunar (white) aspect, and if it's lined through on the main track the signal with display either a green-over-red or yellow (amber)-over-red aspect.
The town gets ~8 CSX freight trains daily. It’s a designated quiet zone, but the crew can use the horns at their discretion. The speed limit for trains as they enter the street-running portion is 10 miles per hour (MPH), until the engines have cleared said street-running, at which point they are allowed to increase their speed to 20 MPH.
There is no Amtrak service here. The last regularly scheduled passenger train on this line was the L&N's "Pan-American" in 1971.
There is an ATCS layout available, but there is no server (data) coverage available, as CSX has transitioned away from radio code line (RCL) for switch-and-signal control, to satellite for switch-and-signal, with cellular/telephony backups. RCL is essential for ATCS data availability.
A READ ONLY train log is available to see what trains have passed.: http://bit.ly/3aWF4EC
When’s the next train? Yeah, we get this a lot. There’s no schedule for freight, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Plant City, Florida is located 25 miles east of Tampa. The camera is located on the Willaford Railroad Museum‘s Viewing Platform. The view is the junction of CSX’s A Line & S Line. The A Line is the former Atlantic Coast Line route between Tampa & Orlando. The S Line is the former Seaboard Air Line between Tampa and Jacksonville. The CSX Plant City Sub also crosses the diamond along the S-Line. The Plant City sub runs south to Fort Myers & Naples. Amtrak’s Silver Star service (#91 & #92) passes Plant City twice daily, for a total of 4. The viewing platform is located at MP 861 on the A-Line, and MP 823 on the S-Line.
The flashing red light you see in the distance to the right on the PTZ cam is from a cell phone tower behind the railroad signal, and not a part of the railroad signal.
If you’re in the area be sure to check out the amazing collection of vintage railroad equipment and historical artifacts. Love watching trains? Don’t forget to check out their 2 story railfan platform. Enjoy beautiful unobstructed views of the diamonds and enjoy this unique place to watch trains.

This is railway-themed chatroom. Whilst chat needn't be "on-topic" all the time, we expect users to exercise some common sense and avoid posting pointless comments which are of no interest to others. Off-topic subjects shouldn't be allowed to take-over the chatroom, since that discourages the on-topic chat.
The cameras are not there to allow us to criticise or police those that work on the railway. Discussion of that sort is not appropriate.
Events involving injury or death on the railway are not suitable topics for discussion.
Politics, race, religion, sex and sexual orientation are not suitable topics for a rail-themed chatroom. Whilst these will inevitably be touched-upon in passing, opinions must not be expressed about these divisive topics.
Promotion of products and services, especially those which compete with Railcam UK, are not allowed.
Repeated links to sites, including YouTube, Flickr and Facebook pages are considered spamming and not allowed.
Deliberately spreading false information or "gen" will not be tolerated.
Use English only. Use a translator if required. Do not post in CAPITALS - this is interpreted as shouting.
Chat needs to be inclusive. It's for everyone to use, so do not make it about you.
The above lists are not exhaustive and moderators may ask you to stop a particular subject or pattern of behaviour - please respect such a request.
In all but extreme cases, a moderator will warn any user who does not follow the above rules & guidelines before resorting to a "timeout" or ban. Bans will usually be short in the first instance, but can be permanent where it is warranted.
Moderator decision is final. If you disagree, email us. DO NOT argue about it in chat. Do not openly criticise moderators in chat. That will only result in a ban -
